From Past To Present: 1978 Camaro
There are literally hundreds of contrasting supercars that we would all love to own someday. While numerous of us would salivate and gape at a Ferrari or Lamborghini if ever we discovered it in person we recognise that it will always be beyond our touch. So rather then dreaming about one vehicle that we will never own we decide to take the next greatest thing.
If you cannot have a supercar then why not choose one of the numerous muscle cars that are at your disposal? While the Mustang was once the muscle car to have peoples attention has turned to the Chevy Camaro. Of late we have heard people speaking and bragging about the 2010 Camaro and how the look and design has been improved.
But do we ever think about what the vehicle looked like thirty years ago? In 1978 the Camaro was quite contrasting then we know it to be nowadays. Around this time Chevy had developed it with a brand new nose in order to interchange the bumpers that several individuals could not bear to look at. Both the front and rear fascia were designed with a new color urethane and were designed so that they would match the prerequisites for a 5 mph crash standard.
The rear taillights were given a new look and have three lenses and a fuel door that was settled in the middle. Chevy made it obtainable to consumers in five models that included the; Rally Sport TypeLT Sport Coupe TypeLT Rally Sport and Z28.
On each of the models was a transparent Ttop. The Z28 was believed to be the better model to have because it was obtainable with a full disco body package front fender vents a fake hoodscoop and an engine that gave it more power then before. Due to the increase in emission regulations that California was constantly setting forth Chevy had to offer distinct engines for California.
All of the models were a success to people all over the country and it had the power to outsell the Mustang II for the second time. Now that it is rising out of retirement Chevy hopes that the 2010 Camaro will have the same result on consumers and will once again beat out the Mustang with its unique design and powerful engines.
